Internal power supply is hurting. It is a non linear supply and they switcher transisters are not working

Ive seen this on other monitors. Look for a 1 and 2. Some monitors do NOT auto detect a signal, and this one might not. Look for a way to set the monitor from Digital input to VGA input. Try that and see.

is your CPU working properly? if that the case, your monitor is in need of a service.

Reason 1: Wetness
The number one reason why computer monitors go blank is - wetness. Believe it or not, when your computer monitor is exposed to humid air, sometimes water can condense and accumulate in the monitor. Reason 3: Faulty RAM
This one is less obvious and less common, but it can happen. You might sometimes get bad RAM modules which prevent your PC from booting up even to the basic BIOS startup screen. To detect this kind of problem is more troublesome, you might need to remove those RAM modules and insert them into another computer.

Reason 4: Loose Connections
Another reason why your monitor goes blank is due to loose connections. The connection from the monitor to the mains is usually a culprit, as is the connection between the monitor and the video card. Check those connections before you declare your computer monitor as faulty.

Reason 5: A Short Circuit In The Motherboard
And the final reason why your computer monitor goes blank? It's possibly because of a short circuit in the motherboard. This is the most undesirable outcome of course, as you might have to replace your entire motherboard. However, it's possible that this can happen - so keep your fingers crossed and hope it doesn't happen to you.

Not sure if this helps but run my computer in safe mode and do a virus scan. This worked well for me, hope it helps.

1. turn off monitor
2. unplug power
3. plug power back in, holding down the last button on the left, then push the power button to turn back on and off three times, holding on the third try until it comes on- hold for ten seconds and release; the monitor should work again

most common lcd monitor break down, check all electrolytic capacitors for leakage and loose board solder specially on the ccfl inverter section.

This is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen stopped working, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! Is the green flashing on the tower or the monitor?

If it is flashing on the monitor, then it might be tht the monitor is not gettign signal from the tower.
To check, disconnect the monitor from the tower and check the monitor. If you get a msg on the screen like no input signal or check video cable, then 99% monitor is fine.

Check for the power supply light at the back of the tower.

Disconnect everything from the computer and then press and hold the power button on the comp for about 30 seconds.

Then connect the cables and check if it is working.

Throw it out the window. Acer sucks.

The flash light test only works with lcd monitor as they have back lights. Double check the connections again, also, if you can borrow a monitor try it on your pc, it may be your graphics driver needs to be uninstalled and re-installed, but you will need a monitor to see.
