Re: Motorola i860 poss. mic problem
You will have to try an open the phone to check to see if the microphone is missing or damaged since it is surface mount you might have to solder it. if you are not comfortable doing that I recommed sending it t a service center

This cell phone will work
for calls, internet, and text just like any other boost mobile cell
The best part is that you may use your CURRENT sim card and just switch
it over to this cell phone
and start talking.. If you do not currently have a sim card we sell
those on this website also.
This phone will work 100% with boost mobile unlimited cell phone
service.. All features will work as well.
Also this is a replacement cell phone which means that you will not need
to update any contracts or service plans.
It seems your mic problem. Mobile phones microphones are are used to get such defect. Motorola mic is ractangle type SMD(surface mount device) and replacement needs some skill. If you don't have enough knowledge please don't try to do yourself. Give it to skilled technician, he will replace it with new one but will charge you little.
