Re: LG ductless no AC
I may not be of much help but I may be able to guide you into some diagnosos. If there is a communication problem between the inside and outside unit, both on the inside and outside units a colored LED will bling 5 times then pause for 3 seconds. The 33 and 44 codes are confusing to me because I have never seen this. Try resetting the outside unit with no call for heat or cool from the inside unit. After about 20 seconds, restore power to the outside unit. Go in and turn on the remote and make sure you lower the cool setting more than degrees cooler than the room temp. After 3 minutes the outside unit should turn on. If you get an error code of either 1, 2 or 5 blinks document it for the technician. If you continue to get your 33 and 44, you have a bad control board.
If all else fails, press and hold the button located on the lower left side of the art unit and hold for about 5 seconds. If it still no longer works, now you will need the help of someone who knows these units.

If this is a ductless split call a tech! The ductless split systems can be a troublesome unit to diagnose. A few things to try. Clean air filters and ensure coil behind is clean. And build up or debris on blower wheel (indoor fan blades) will cause unit to fault. Turn off power at breaker or disconnect and clean (with water hose and medium pressure) the outdoor coil. Be sure you will not damage outdoor coils fins with too much water pressure. Turn power on. If this simple service don't do it again, call a tech! Be sure to ask if they have someone who is experienced with mini split systems and be patient. Even the best technician will need to call carrier for tech support.
Aside from checking the circuit breaker for the unit, the unit should be looked at by a qualified service technician. You would need certain test instruments and a working knowledge of the unit's operation system to find the problem.
Page 38 and 39 of the installation manual tells you everything you need to know. Some things are left to the professionals, air conditioning installation being one of those. No offense, please, but with as many problems as you are going to have with a new air conditioner give yourself a fighting chance!!
Check to see if all of the outside condensing units are running. Identify the one that is part of the "problem" system. Is it running? What is different about that one than the others? Let us know and we will dig deeper into helping you troubleshoot. If it is not running, check for any tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses to the outdoor unit.
Let us know.
I hope you find this information to be very helpful to you as a jumping off point, moving forward.

First check your circuit breaker or fuse that supplies power to the outside unit. It's probably separate from the inside unit. Then try to turn unit on. If the fan and compressor just make a humming sound then turn it off and check the capacitor if you have a multimeter. You can also look at it and see if the top looks expanded. That's a good sign its bad, but not all bad one's look expanded. Tomorrow I will have access to an LG service manual and can let you know what the code means. Sorry I can't get it sooner. Let me know what you find.
