The CMW=100 cuisinart microwave comes and goes off and then back on quickly. It does not stay on and does not warm up. After it is turned off it sometimes starts up on its own.

My microwave with stainless interior but with 11cm x11 cm square plastic not to be removed. The plastic now is ruptured with 2-3 cm opening. Is this dangerous or the microwave need to be replaced?

Possible that the motor or the drive is faulty, you need to remove cover after disconnecting power and get to the bottom of the table from the underside. check the motor and drive , possible this could be the culprit. If not it can be failure of drive from the PCB, for which a voltage check will confirm,

Microwave is loud

It is normal to have a moderate sound, but if extremely loud it indicates trouble with the magnetron, should be returned for a replacement.

Our cuisinart cmw-100 still has the power sources and the timer illuminated. However, the microwave is not producing heat nor is the glass plate spinning at this point. do you have any suggestions?

Bad door switch, usually the top one. The switch costs < $2.00.

We changed the 20amp fuse and that was not the problem so we returned it to Macy's. If anyone knows of a reliable brand of microwave today please let us know. All the reviews on microwave ovens recently are bad.

Cuisinart Microwave won't heat food

open the casing and replace the blown fuse.there are several so check them all. probably why the machine was in the auction

You can order a replacement dish here. The dish shattered because the heat from the bag of popcorn was too much for it. If you look at the owner's manual for almost every microwave, they tell you not to put popcorn directly on the glass dish, but to put it on another plate.

The oven should be safe to use. Just look for any burned spots on the paint in the bottom of the cooking cavity.
