Onan 3600 propane gen wont start without excessive cranking time, 20-30 seconds then start sluggishly. seems to work fine after it starts.

If the govenor didn't work that means that you placed the linkage on the carberator the wrong way. This will cause the genset to overspeed and possibly stop the genset from creating voltage. If the genset does not create voltage then you won't have a charger. Fix the linkage first by looking to make sure that the throttle plate is closed before starting genset. Once you start the genset check for voltage.

First locate the oil pressure switch and see if you can bypass it,then see if it runs. If not check the fuel filter and fuel pump,make sure solonoid for fuel pump is kicking on.

I have a honda generator that is not putting out any ac voltage. It was working fine but when the power came on, it did not get unpluged and after that, I had no a/c voltage. How can I troubleshoot either the regulator or circuits?

What is the model? Chances are the carb needs cleaning or replaced.

SOURCE: Onan Marquis Gold 5.5 HGJAB 1038C. Won't start.

Test the solinoid with an ohms meter and if the circuit is open replace the solinoid.
