I just purchased the above monitor and I can't get the built in speakers to work. The manual shows an icon on the menu screen for sound, however, when I pull up the menu that option is not available. Any suggestions?
My monitor has a line in line out on the back of the unit. I have only one input speaker connection on the back of my Dell computer.

Power light cycling about every second is a sure sign of a switchmode power supply fault, causing it to repeated shut down and then try to restart. Most often this is the result of failed electrolytic capacitors. Assuming you can get the monitor apart without wrecking it (some can be very difficult to separate), the failed electros will show bulging ends and/or leakage of electrolyte. These are normally a straightforward repair job depending on the extent of damage from the leakage.
This link, is to the User Manual for the Envision H 819 TFT LCD monitor, http://www.technostation.com/user-guide-owners-manual/Envision/Envision++H819+LCD+Monitor Under the User Manual heading, you will see -> 2009-04-08 12:20:36 To the right of that is -> cache <- in blue. Click on -> cache
The Envision user manual, plainly states that the Envision H 819 monitor, is a TFT monitor. [18.5" (47.0cm) TFT Color LCD Monitor]
Here is a review of the monitor, it says it does have speakers, but not very good review, but most if not all speakers that are built in are not great. I hope this helped, Gym
Hey Mate, being honest weve sold alot of TFT monitors and most are hard to hear with all the volumes turned up, only thing you can try are.
turn volume up to max on the monitors menu,
also double click on the little speaker icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen and a volume menu appears turn up WAV, & the main one on the left.
if you are not getting any sound at all check you have the audio cable from the monitor plugged into the green connection on the back of the pc.
Afraid thats the only options to get it louder or buy a set of speakers to get the sound louder.
All the best
John
