My dvd recorder perfect working order except a door sticking problem constantly wont open upon which of course i am unable to place any discs,give it a knock it opens however dont want to continue doing this,how do i fix this.
Open up your machine then check the cd tray there is a motor that drives the tray. between the motor there are gears which rolls the tray in and out. check properly you will see a belt '' blader kind of'' plz replace with brand new one it will work fresh coz if the belt is worn out then it means motor can not pull the gears to enable opening and clossing of your cd tray

thankyou the dvd is relatively new however does sound has if its something to do with this belt changing it could poss solve it.thankyou.
My door sticks when the cover is on when the cover is of (sometimes) I press to close tray then by itself it opens again. If I hold it shut utill the disk engages it will play (sometimes)
just put in dvd tonight and it won't play. went to open it and door won't open. just makes a noise when i press open and close but won't come open. felt like prying the $&%*^( thing open.
I have Lite-on 5005A DVD RECORDER and the dvd cover does not
open. One time I pried it open and it will open and close right away
and I could not use it. When I pried it open I cleaned the surfaces of
tray with silicone used for lubricating treadmill belt.
On the cover it says do not open. However I am going to open the
cover and see if belt is loose or scratched and try to fix.
