HCT 8525 PDA repair directions request

I've had this phone for a month and condensation has built up underneath the screen. The phone wasn't left outside, didn't get rained on or spilled on. I know I can order a replacement part from FixYa, but i'd like to take the slid/screen apart to make sure it's not a simple fix, like letting it air out or something. I'm looking for instructions on how to take the slide off, and take the screen out. From what I can see it looks like it's only a few screws to get the screen out, but only after the slide is separated. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Yes i bought a computer repair tool kit from Lowe's for 20 dollars it came with a T6 hex head screwdriver ( the star shaped head ) that is appropriate for the screws for this phone. of course opening your phone will void the warranty. 1st remove the battery and the your sim card, next remove the screws there are four of them on the back of the phone. next ( i used my fingernail ) seperate the external housing by running something ;-) along the groove. next remove the screw holding the camera in place and remove the board from the internal case. be careful not to unseat the ribbon.... there you will find the four screws size 000 for the slide

Hi,
first, you'll have to open the 4 screws at the back,
then open it from the sides with an opener, until the back cover is removed,
then you'll remove the mother board,
then unplug the lcd-cable,
then remove the 4 screws under the mother board, which are holding the upper sliding part,
then remove the screws of the sliding part,
then again, use the opener to open it from the sides,
you'll reach the lcd.
that's it :)

I've had my blackberry for about 7 months, and not long ago the plastic bit at the top came off, and the chip underneath has bent foward and now the screens gone white, my phone turns on but i can see...

the plug for the screen is at the top left of that phone if any part of the board has been damaged you can try a cellphone repair place or if you have insurance on the phone it might be best to replace the phone, if you don't have insurance you can find cheap phone on craigslist just make sure the esn is clear before you buy it once the mother board is damaged it is difficult to fix the phone unless you can find a place that can do very detailed soldering....

Broken screen, where can I get it repaired?

Get your Smartphone 8525 repaired by a repair service. Replacing the LCD screen or getting it repaired will fix the problem. Two online cellphone repair services that can replace the LCD screen are DrCellPhone and CellularDR. I have a small solution to what all of you are having with the black screen. I had the same problem so, what you want to do is keep pressing the power button. You do not turn the phone off, you will just put it in standby mode and then back on. If you keep doing that the screen will turn back on but you can not let the back light go out.

Is the machine properly lined up?

Could be a small leak at the top - won't leak water, but steam can escape maybe.

See if you an delete some of the memory. My same phone would not allow me to enter it until there was some memory deleted or a memory stick attached to it in order to allow more memory.

Let us know how that works out for you. Good luck!

Touch screen irresponsive

Hi,
You,ve probably dislodged a wire on the actual screen, with the stylus, and the screen lifting.
There will be several companys, willing to repair this. But at a costly sum i,d imagine. if it,s warranted, or covered on insurance ( home or personnal ) i,d try that option.
Most repair specialists, Will tell you that you,ve damaged the unit and need a replacement screen, regardless of whether you do or not.
Try a local Mobile Phone repair specialist, this may be your best and cost effective Option.
