Check if your GR-D50AS really is that model by plugging it into a Linux pc (eg. Ubuntu) and doing lsusb at the commandline. This should tell you the actual modeltype that the cam identifies itself as.

The GR-D50AS I have is actually a GR-DX25EK, and those drivers are more readily available (driverguide.com, JVC main site etc).

this will work for all Microsoft operating system to XP ..professional if you needed it for vista ..let me know and I will look for it ..

This is the radio shack web address for drivers. I think your driver is near the bottom of this list:- Gigaware Vga Pc Camera, but please check the list. The first of those is Win Xp, the one below is Vista. You should create a restore point before installing the driver, then if it is not correct you can try one of the other drivers.

Install the 2000/XP drivers that come with the camera. I've just installed these, from CD, on a Vista laptop. Rebooted ... then connected the camera ... and it works! :-)
The "PCCam" app that's installed works and the camera works with Skype, too.

I downloaded this and scanned for virus' and nothing came up. Hope this is the driver you need.
