Pastry blade won't release

After processing a batch of dough, I can't get the pastry blade to come off. It still rotates and operates but it seems to be stuck on the spindle.

This is the kind of thing it would be very difficult to fix without being there in person. Do you still have the manual? It's possible there's some well hidden button or latch you have to hold in while you remove it. I tried to find a manual online, but was unsuccessful. I did see where you can purchase one - though I doubt you'll want to pay the $16 for it. But, just in case, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Cuisinart-Pro-Classic-DLC-10S-Manual-Recipe-Book-NEW_W0QQitemZ190147128664QQihZ009QQcategoryZ20673QQcmdZViewItem

Oh, you also may want to call the support line:

They can probably tell you the exact method for removing it.

Kitchenaid kneading blade stuck

Check that the safety lock pin is releasing from the base. It is the thing in the tube down the side of the bowl that the lug on the lid engages with. It stops the motor running with the lid off..

Unable to download Rhondo 2500 manual

the four pronged tool is a dough hook. Use this for kneading/mixing heavy dough, such as: white bread dough, pastry, etc.

Hi there, my dough blade won't come out from my fp2500mc wide-mouth food processor. Is there's anything that I can do. I've tried everything but it won't come out

i have had this same problem and unfortunately it seems that the disc stem gets so hot that it melts the top of the bowl to the blade. I finally got it out but the bowl was ruined as was the dough blade.

Am I missing a part

I overlooked this too. Set into the foam packing material is a stem made just for the shredding disk. It's about 4" long and also has a hex shaft. This hex is just slightly smaller than the hex on the other shaft the drives the blades. The dough hook - Remove the blade assembly and put the dough hook in its place.

We can`t disasemble it with the dough blade in, any tips?

All of the blades "lock" (rest in a groove) when rotated clockwise. This is so they'll stay put when in operation. When you take the bowl out with a blade in, you're moving the pair in a clockwise direction. So, you lock the blade in, thus locking the bowl down. Either remove the blade first by rotating it counter clockwise, then up or move the blade back 1/10th of a turn after rotating the bowl as far as it will go clockwise.

Motor fails to operate - very hit and miss

Make sure you are using the dough blade for dough instead of the regular blade - dough will cause the regular blade/assembly to gum up. This is actually a VERY high quality unit w/ a 20-year motor warranty. I would see if you get better results with the dough blade. Don't give up on it yet.
