My followup work-around: I unplugged the machine and drained the water out of the machine. Apparently there is a "lockout" safety feature that refuses to open the door when there is a certain amount of water in the machine. After draining the majority of the water out, I then cleaned the filter (and more water came out- have the bucket and towels ready!). The ultimate problem was that the pump was shot. While reseaching my own records, I discovered that I had purchased an extended warranty for the first and only time because LG was new to making washers. The pump was replaced at no cost within 24 hours.
ME TOO!! Good Luck Talking to Whirlpool! I unplugged mine for a few mins and plugged her back in and it unlocked the door. I have read in here that the F-01 Code is the death code! But I'm still waiting for the repair guy! Good Luck

Wait five seconds and then press and hold the "Start/Pause" button and the "Cancel" button at the same time.
Open and shut the door. A "DR" error code indicates that there is a problem with the door, most likely that it has not shut properly. Check to make sure there are no clothes or other items caught in the door.
Open the door and gently wiggle the door latch if the door does not click shut. Clean it with a damp cloth to remove excess dirt or debris that may prevent the door from latching into position.
Close the door and re-select a new wash cycle and "Start."
F-01 is a communications error between the CCU and EEPROM.
The first thing to try is unplugging the machine for 5 or 10 minutes. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need a new CCU (probably need to replace that anyway). Though if you just got it 2 days ago, call the store you bought it from - they should replace it (and help you get it open to get your clothes out).
see this and fix it. God bless you This code indicates that the washer door has not been closed properly.
Check to see if there are clothes blocking the door, or if the door
needs to be pushed harder to trigger the latch. If you cannot close the
door, you may need a replacement latch.
This error code indicates that the door needs to be opened and closed.
The F26 code may appear the first time you try to use the washer. Open and close the door to clear the display.
The F26 code may also appear if the washer has run three cycles
without the door being opened. Open and close the door to clear the
If opening and closing the door does not remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice.
The above procedure is the specified way by whirlpool technicians to clear the error code.
This advice is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet model front loading washers. If you experience a problem where the door becomes jammed and will not unlock or open, here's an easy way to gain access inside your washer WITHOUT calling the repairman.
1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier. 2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose. 3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located. 4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.
Sometimes these doors will not unlock for whatever reason. If there are no error codes being generated, this could have just been a momentary glitch. If you see "Fdl" "DLE" or "Fdu" error codes, these are usually indications of a failed door latch assembly and will require replacement.

An E3-01 is an error code for your toner hopper. Did you just recently change your toner bottle?
If so, open your front door, take the toner bottle out. Close the front door, turn the machine on, and let the machine cycle and stop.
After the machine is stopped, then open the door and then place the toner cartridge back in.
Close the door, and if the error code doesn't come back your problem should be fixed.
Let me know if you have any other problems. Good luck

I had a similar problem with a Panasonic VCR. It would not eject the tape and gave an error code. I found that the door does not quite fully open, so that the top of the tape hits the door and cannot eject. If I turn off and then turn on the VCR the error code disappears. Then I press the eject button and simultaneously hold the door fully open with one finger until the tape starts to eject and clears the door.
a power glitch can cause this promblem first push pause cancel twice to clear this error code then try the washer on drain spin and listen for the pump to come on if it does then clear the machine by pause cancle twice then try to start again if code resets then the promblem is most likely the ccu or the board but try clearing the error first if that dont work get back with me and we will run diagnostic mode
