Camcorder has a green tint to it. It looks green through the lcd and records everything in green. The camcorder is not old and was never damaged. I have tried to go through all the settings to fix but can't figure it out. I have never tried to deal with panasonic with problems and there is no warranty on it so i don't know if they would help much. If you can help at all i would appreciate it.
Thanks

My panasonic SDR100 SD100 camcorder has stopped working since I connected by mistake to my laptop charger can Anyone help me please
Had my GS200 for two years before it developed a green tint to the screen. This is caused by a failure of the CCD block and Panasonic in the US, Canada and Australia acknowledged this CCD problem with some of their camcorders a few years ago (gave serial numbers). Repairs were free. Panasonic UK say they are not aware of the problem. Even if the CCD is replaced the fault could develop again.
I bought a Sony HDR-UX1 AVCHD camcorder after my Panasonic GS200 developed the CCD fault and couldn't be happier. Panasonic did me a favour in forcing me to buy the HDR-UX1, as this superb Sony camcorder is no longer available. I would ditch your unreliable Panasonic camcorder and go with Sony camcorders from now on.

Ok so today i called panasonic and first they tried to troubleshoot the problem. Then when that failed they gave me a number to a service department, so i asked them if they could fix it for me free of charge then she said the best they could do is charge me 225 to fix or swap it out with a refurbished one, so the camera cost 500 brand new and im not going to pay half that to fix something that shouldn't have failed anyway. And since it was nothing i did to break it, whats gonna keep that from happening again. So as far as panasonic customer service i am extremely dissapointed. A giant company like that really should fix the camera without warranty considering it wasn't broke due to neglegance on my part but failure of parts. If anyone knows of anyone else i can talk to that can help me convince panasonic they are responsible for the product they produce please contact me. I don't know what else to do, but i feel like if they won't help me i need to spend some serious effort in letting people know that this is how they handle their customers.
Thanks

Ok well I can't get them to respond back to me, but i think i figured another way to get it fixed without spending a ton of money. I was looking around on the Panasonic site and they sell extended warranties. I can get a one year warranty for $89. So I think i will just get the warranty and then send the camera in for a fix. I don't want to pay for the warranty but the 500 dollar camera is worth nothing to me broke so i will get the warranty and they can fix it and i will have a warranty for a year. Do you see any problems with this?
Thanks
