Our fax machine can reveive faxes but does not allow us to fax out. The number being faxed to rings and sounds like it is connecting then the machine comes back and say transmission cancelled. The report says it is the receiver fax. But it cannot be because it happen with every single number we try and fax to. This started happening right after we had TV digital boxes installed in teh house. Hopefully somebaody can help me. Thanks

Generally if you wanted to send a fax to a facsimile which is connected to an extension.you must dial only the direct line number and ask operator to transfer this call to fax (wanted extension). After you heard the fax tone you can push start button.
If the fax machine full-time connected to same extension & dedicated direct-line there only for faxing,we can program the pbx for automatically transfer the incoming fax or call to that extension.so outsider have to dial only direct fax number without ext no.
Only Panasonic PBXes having a unique feature if i'm wright if it detect fax tone from any direct line it will automatically transfers towards fax extension.
The KX-FM131BX, KX-FM131CX and KX-FM131AL do not connect directly to a computer. They only have RJ-11 connections (to the phone line (line in) for all models and to another phone or answering machine (in some cases).
