SOURCE: Is HP ML 110 server

Hi there,
Yes it should be.. Well the main important part is that you have a 64Bit processor installed on it.
So just make sure your processor is 64Bit then it will run 2008

SOURCE: we have hp server ml370 when i restart the server its stopped on attempting boot from hard drive c and never continue

This is because either the image on the hard drive is bad (corrupted, missing boot sector, etc) or because the hard drive itself has some issue like corruption etc.
If this is a mirrored raid array (two drive mirroring each other) I would try to remove one of the drives and boot again. If that does not work reinsert and remove the other drive and try to boot.

regards,
Mike

Besides Windows 7.Windows Server 2008 R2 Operating Systems are the latest and more secured versions from Microsoft.

Windows Server 2008 R2 is a server operating system produced by Microsoft. It was released to manufacturing on July 22, 2009, launched on October 22, 2009. According to the Windows Server Team blog, the retail availability was September 14, 2009. It is built on Windows NT 6.1, the same core operating system used with the end-user oriented Windows 7. It is the first 64-bit only operating system release from Microsoft. Windows Server 2008 R2 is an updated operating system to Windows Server 2008.

For reseting Windows Server 2008 R2 password,I have used several methods, and this method is very easy and 100% worked on 2008 R2 servers. This is very quick, because it clears the administrator password straightaway. There are some products available to find out admin password, which takes lot of time to find.

Windows Password Key is the product you required to reset admin password. This is not free, you must pay $19.95 .But you can get it freely somewhere,You can free download from Lost Windows Password website.

Insert the burned CD/DVD or USB drive in the computer you want to reset password, and then change the BIOS settings of the computer as follows:

1st. Start computer and press F2 or Delete to enter BISO setup during the initial startup screen.

Note: What key is pressed depends on the manufacturers, but in most cases it is F2 or Delete.

2nd. Use the arrow keys to select the Boot tab, and then select Boot Device Priority and press Enter.

3rd. Choose first boot device to CDROM or USB flash drive, and then press F10 to save settings. The computer will restart with the changed settings automatically.

Note: When you want to boot from USB, you should adjust USB to 1st Drive by entering Hard Disk Drives firstly before selecting first boot device to USB flash drive.

Step 3: Remove the forgotten Windows password under DOS.

1st. Choose the installation path of Windows, and enter the ID of the path

2nd. All the user names will be displayed for you. You can select one to remove its password by entering the ID of the User Name.

3rd. Enter y to confirm and continue, enter n to return to previous menu.

4th. After removing the password for the selected user name, you can enter y to continue to reset

passwords of other user names, or enter n to restart computer. And now you can log on computer without password.

We did. It's very simple and finished in less than two minutes.

Now you can regain access your operating system and create a new administrator password. The best thing of using this method is that you shouldn't lose any data on your computer. Furthermore, If you can't find a computer which has a CD/DVD writer or the locked computer have no a CD-ROM, You can burn the ISO image file into a USB flash drive and use the USB flash drive to recover your Windows administrator password.

Try these three methods the next time you have lost Windows administrator password, which you do not need to reinstall Windows system for getting back to Windows by removing lost or forgotten password.

I'd say the hard disk went bad. See if it'll boot from a live cd to copy your data off of the linux drive (if it's accessible at all).

HP SmartStart CD x32
The utility to use to set up the ML370 g3 server is the SSCD (smart start cd) this is a guided installation cd that will help you set up the array, install drivers and diagnostic utilities and after that
will request the windows cd so that you can finish the installation.
instructions:
1. download SSCD from here
2. extract the zip file
3. burn the ISO image to a cd
4. boot the server to the cd
5. choose from the main menu the option "Deploy server"
6. follow the wizard

Problem with scsi driver proliant ml 370 for NT4

Are you attempting to boot from the Windows CD?

If you are booting the server from a Windows installation disk and it is unable to detect the hard drive, this typically means the following things.
You need to provide the driver for the RAID controller of the server (this can vary, depending on the version of the ML370 e.g. G4/G5)
If it still cannot detect the hard drive after providing the driver for the RAID controller or if there is not a driver available for NT4, it may not support the controller.
In this case you can remove the RAID set by entering the RAID setup (could be LSI or adaptec). NOTE THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE DISKS THAT ARE A PART OF THIS RAID SET.
