WHY DOES MY HD OPTOMA DLP 70 TURN OFF AFTER FEW MINUTES?

If you have recently replaced the bulb you may need to reset the lamp counter in the projector menu.
If you have not replaced the bulb, the projector may be shutting down due to over-heating. Check that the projector is clear of as much dust and debris as possible.

Keeps going to double red light shuts down, then it resets and turns on for 5 minutes and then turns off again, what could be the issue? thanks

I've seen this happen almost exactly on a Canon projector. The problem was the bulb. After the bulb was replaced the problem went away.

Cannot reset lamp timer as will not project. Replaced the lamp in my 3m X50, bulb came right on. I had to shut it down before reseting the lamp timer. Now will not light up so that I can navigate the...

It does not sound like resetting the lamp timer is what is keeping the projector from throwing an image. Try walking through the steps of the installation backwards to remove the bulb completely. Then reinstall the bulb again from scratch making sure everything is seated properly. If it powers up again just remember to set the clock back on the bulb.

Infocus IN72 - blinking RED light

firdt off, did you reset the lamp counter? did you clean the dust out of the projector? it may be overheating as well. if the lamp looks ok, you may have just blown the ballast. try projector doctor online.

New bulb in now wont work - no power - wont turn on to reset lamp

first, make sure you have the correct lamp. the lamp for the xr-10x-l looks like the xr-10x, but the plugs are different (common mistake). make sure you have the AN-XR10L2/1, not the AN-XR10LP/1. to reset the lamp timer (with the projector plugged in but off), hold down the enter, down arrow, and menu buttons and press the power.

2. Insert the power cord

Not great English, but I tried this yesterday and it works.

Optoma H56 - turns off just after start up.

It's not a short, the blub is near the end of it's life ~ the optoma is designed to detect when the blub is about to blow and shuts itself down. Turning the projector upside down or right side up usually only gives you a brief reprieve (some have reported a modest amount of extra time gained) on the blub ~ but in the end it's on it's way out and the projector will shut down again.
