I have two of those spots one bright, and the other one a little less bright.

If it's possible I'm going to send it back for a replacement.

I have the "[Bug 6334] random HW watchdog reboots" on my device as well that is quite annoying.

Welcome to Fixya

Sounds like you already have a bad LCD there. Try to do power drain on the laptop. This will drain remaining electrostatic energy of the board. Take out the battery and unplug the power adapter. Press and hold the power button for 10 secs. Put everything back in then power "ON" the computer. If same thing will happen then its time to replace the LCD.

Thank you for using Fixya!

My echo dot LED display does not automatically dim or brighten. How can I fix it?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust the brightness of the LED display on an Echo Dot. To increase visibility, you can place it in an area with more ambient light, or you can use a lamp or other light source to illuminate the LED display.

How can I adjust my probook 4520s laptop brightness

If your HP laptop has a dull screen, or if the screen is too bright to make out anything that's displayed, you may need to adjust the brightness to get your screen back the way you like it. You don't want to strain your eyes to see your screen, and the fix is really simple. It's about as easy as adjusting the brightness on a TV. You'll have your brightness set the way you want it in a few seconds.

Step Right-click on an empty space on the desktop and a drop-down menu will appear.
Step Click on "Properties." If the HP laptop uses Windows Vista, you'll click on "Personalize."
Step On the "Personalize appearance and sounds" screen, click on "Window Color and Appearance."
