No display. Get slight flash of image for less than a second. I have traced the problem to the HV board which has a bad(shorted) driver on one side of push pull trans and would like to replace the board.
It says on it: Sampo qpwbgl9931DLD.

if you choose the menu does it display menu items or is there no image at all? No image at all when you press menu would mean the backlight is likely not working and requires repair. If you do get menu items on screen check the image settings and ramp up brightness and contrast
Inspect foil side of HV board for burned tracks toward lower side of board. If burned, check HV capacitors (High Voltage Capacitor Test Procedure) and HV transformers (High Voltage Transformer Test) for a short. Otherwise test other components as outlined above. Solution: Replace defective components as necessary. If applicable, repair foil trace on HV board.
Hope that helps.........
if Vs is showing less than 1 ohm, that is your shorted line. it goes the sustain and address boards (big boards on left and right side of set) and one of those is bad. try using the same ohm check to see which is shorted and replace that board to fix the set. if it is the address board (one that plugs into boards with lots of chips addressing each horizontal line of screen) you need to check all the address buffer chips. make sure there is no little pin sized hole burned into one of these chips or it will blow out your new address board.
other names for boards
address = Y sustain
sustain = Z or X sustain
This sounds like a bad logic board. On this model, Panasonic calls it the "D" board aka Format Converter, Plasma AI Processor. It takes the video info from the main board and processes it for the display panel. Repair is board replacement.
my 12 power supply was only 500ma, not the 4a needed. Got the monitor to power up but now the screen goes dark after 2 sec. Looks like a bad backlight issue. I'll replace the inverter board.
