Question about HP LaserJet 2420 Printer
Hi, We have a laserjet that has begun to start putting spaced out "smudges" on the left side of all print outs. While they are not extremely dark, they do not look professional and we need this fixed. On a paper path test, the smudge appears a little before halfway down the page, right above that is one that is similar but indented and then about equal distance from the bottom is the same smudge and then again at the very bottom. What do I need to test to figure this out? We are starting to get multiple complaints and have to find a fix. Thank You, mtaffer
Maybe something attached (corrector fluid or adhesive)on drum (green cylinder - don't touch it!) or more probably the fixing film on the fusing unit is damaged (probably some paper clip left over input bin, or trying to remove a paper jam with some sharp-pointed thing) If you have some other printer like this around, try with another print cartridge, if error persist , the fuser film is damaged...
