There are a few screws located under the front edge of the top. You will need to open the oven door to see them. Remove these screws and the top should lift up. Make sure you unplug the range or turn off the main breaker BEFORE servicing. There are still live voltages present with the range turned off. There are a couple of screws holding the element in place, as well as some wires. Make sure you write down how the wires were connected to assist you in reconnecting them in the right order. Make sure you also take note of the numbering scheme on the element and make sure you place the mounting brackets in the same holes that they came out of on the old element. Last of all, make sure you handle the new element carefully. Care must be used not to handle the element coils or ceramic material. Try to handle from the underside of the element only. Oil from your hands can cause damage to the element and/or premature failure. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Maytag aqualift range is not getting very hot

your Maytag range has only a single heating element located at the top of the oven, it is likely a "broil" element, which is used primarily for cooking food close to the top of the oven. The lower heating element, which is typically used for baking and roasting, may be hidden beneath the oven floor or located at the bottom of the oven.
If your oven is not getting very hot, it is possible that the broil element is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. However, if the oven is not heating evenly or is not getting hot enough to cook food properly, it may be a more complex issue related to the temperature sensor, the control board, or other components.
To diagnose and repair the issue, it is recommended to have the range serviced by a qualified technician, who can properly identify the model and locate the faulty component. The model number of your range can typically be found on a label inside the oven door, on the back of the range, or on a storage drawer beneath the oven.

Maytag MIR8890AS0 6.2 cu.ft. induction range w/true convection. Takes an hour or more for oven to pre heat, doesn't maintain heat. 4 yrs old. Induction top OK.

I don't know, but it sounds like one of the heating elements are burnt out/no longer working. I had a similiar problem 5 years ago.. they're pretty easy to replace yourself if you are handy and have a screw driver. I think the one for my stove cost $18 to replace (5 years ago) here's the trouble shooting guide online for you model:

I have a Maytage electric slide in range with a ceran top. Model number MES5770ACW. I was cooking dinner last night on my stove and the elements on top stopped working. They will not turn on at all even...

Either control board bad, or there is more then one circuit breaker controlling the power, check the breakers on both the inside and outside breaker box...Stranger things have happened..
