Uninstall the drivers from device manager. then Click start then Run and in the run box type regedit. once the registry editor is open go to /HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\CLASS then on the right hand side delete anything that says upperfilters and lowerfilters. exit out of rigistry and restart the computer. the driver should be working good. good luck. shoeb.

Right click the device in device manager and uninstall, reboot your system, reinstall the driver. Check the mfg. site for updated drivers. Update as needed.

Delete the drive from device manager. Reboot. If necessary check for driver updates and try disconnecting disbaling anything that could be conflicting with it.

My pc recognises my dvdram as cdrom, after re installing.

The media you add is a DVD correct? If so, your DVD drive driver seem to not be working right. I would take the drive out and boot the pc without it in. Then shut it down and re-install the drive. If this doesnt fix the issue, try re-installing the drivers for your DVD drive. You might want to open device manager and uninstall the drivers before re-installing them. I had this happen to me once and this is how I got it working properly again.

LG GH22 dvd writer - not reading

I had the same problem with the GH22 Internal drive on vista. Assuming this is the only cd drive you have, just go to the device manager and remove/uninstall anything under "DVD/CD Rom Drives" then restart. It should get picked up and recognized properly. It took a couple of restarts to work. For refrence, I only have the LG GH22NP20 installed, what appears in device manager are 2 items... (1)HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22NP20 SCSI CdRom Device... (2) KU1051Q EAG855E SCSI CdRom Device... Incase you have multiple cd drives, this should help tell em appart. Enjoy. IDK399
