I have an acer extensa 4620z laptop with vista homebasic installed when i got it i then put vista ultimate SP1 without formating ( just upgrading ) after this everything was fine but i wanted to see how windows 7 was so after installing it i faced problems like the computer shuting down suddenly when i went to change back to windows vista it gives me a message saying - (the program can't start because WDSUTIL.dll is missing from your computer .try reinstalling the program to fix this problem). and then says that ( the file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt , setup cannot continue.error code is [0x7E]. i want to change back to vista ultimate. thanking you
Did you happen to make a recovery point? Vista is pretty good about this. Restart your system and push f8 until you get to the recovery and troubleshooting. Then just use recovery console and restore it to a previous point. If you cant do this you might need to do a fresh install of vista.
