Display says "ventilate" and won't operate

We have a Royal Professional and we can't get the "ventilate" display to change

  • Anonymous Apr 13, 2009

In the user instruction book, it is said there is a problem with the pump when "ventilate" is showing. Changed the pump. Still the same.

Hi
For the Royal Pro there is a button that has a drop sign(water drop) on it. You have to push the drop button to flow water from the steam wand. This should clear the ventilate but if it doesn't check my other tips for "Ventilate"

The coffee machines say ventilate

Hi
You need to run water through the wand to prime the machine. Push the button that has or says water or a drop. The display will say "hot water". When the "ventilate" disappears it will say "warming up". You are primed.

Royal Professional machine

Hi,

try to set the grinder to grind little more coarse, you have to make 2-3 cup to get the new settings to work.

To get off the ventilate you have to press the button for hot water and make a cup of water.

Hope this will help you.

Ventilate!

Can you get water out of the machine by pushing the hot water button?

This is how you would remove the ventilate message in the first place, but if no water comes out then the machines electro-valve is not opening and you will not be able to remove the ventilate message. You will have to get the machine serviced.

I would also give descaling the machine a try before servicing the machine.

Saeco royal espresso machine

Ventilate just means that the system has senced a lack of water flow and shut down. Push the button to have water come out the wand and that should reprime the unit. If however no water comes out and the message stays on then you have another problem If water does come out but the message stays on then you have another problem. If in either of these cases you should google "saeco repair" and send it to an authorized saeco repair center to have it fixed.
