Cd writer board problem

I have LG cd writer ,but it dus not work becase of board problem, how can i purchase boaerd.

Well ya may find one on Ebay? But actually even if ya could get one... with DVD's being so inexpensive.. I think ya would find that the replacement board would cost near as much.

Hi, you can try a cleaning CD as writers are suseptable to dust; if this does'nt work it is probably a faulty laser and you will need to replace the writer.

Dvd writer not working

what is the OS ?maybe it need to an upgrade or ur dvd-ram & os need to a driver...

Usb dvd writer can install xp?

Yes you can use a usb external cd/dvd-rom to any operating system as long as the bios allows you to, most bios's have the capability.

When the external usb drive has been connected power up the mechine, in post it should tell what to press to enter your boot menu without entering your bios and choose usb drive to boot.
