I'm having problems selecting all the tools thru the keyboard. You know how you can select the Burn tool for example by pressing twice the 'O' key. Well it now remains on the Dodge tool, and same for all of them.
I've put back the default shortcuts and nothing.

if the part is of similar color, then select magic wand tool or magic eraser tool and select the object that you want.
if it is not of similar color, then use magnetic lasso tool to select object and then delete it. then fill the color of your choice.
There should be a crop button at the top, where the tools are, just hover over them till you see Crop. Click it, it will then ask you to select an area that you want, basically, it gets rid of the rest of the photo not selected by you. Hope this helps.

First, check for a stuck key such as the Caps Lock, Control, Alt, Shift, Tab, or Function key. Check the keys on both sides of your keyboard. Also check to see if you have a stuck button on your mouse.
If none of those fix the problem let me know - there are more things we can try.

Selection of persons is one of the 'trickier' things you can do in Photoshop, but the newest version (PS CS3) makes it a cinch, with the new selection tools and tweaks. The best tool in Photoshop is now the 'Quick Selection' tool, and you can feather or expand / shrink your selections. Very handy indeed. After pasting your selection, you can select, 'Edit, Free Transform' and adjust the scale of the portrait to match the size in the merged photo.
