HD322HJ, 320GB, 7200RPM/16M SATA Hard Drive is not detecting in Bios My system configuration is quad-core 9650 processor, 9400gt nvidia graphics card, 2gb ram kingstone,M2N68AM+ motherboard pls give me any solution

Did you try to connect it to another PC, different port in the same PC? Are all SATA ports enabled on the motherboard? It may be problem with fault motherboard, sata/power cables or the hard drive itself.
If it's a second drive for you can you try connecting it through USB bridge to see will it work that way.

You would have had to have the hard drive specifically insured against damage you should check your computers insurance policy it should be insured against damage read the fine print.

Hi Igra,

If your motherboard is latest, go to BIOS or CMOS Set up and look for HDD properties and if you can find the Enhanced or Compatible mode..please change it to Compatible so your computer can detect the SATA Harddrive.

if its getting past the bios, then it could be the hard drive, try booting from a different hdd or disk

disconnect all hard drives except the one with your operating sytem and try that. You may have something hooked up wrong but you need to rule out other problems..can you see all the hard drives in the bios?

SATA drive stops or hangs . . .

Hi fadetoal, it's not you or you're drives. It's the onboard SATA controller. When a board is SATA compatible & the bios does not see the SATA drive (List the SATA drive), the fault is the board. You're board goes one farther than normal. Bios see's the drive but can't run. All you're going to do is pull you're hair out trying to get the board stable. Hope its still in warranty.
