Sure. (This will void your warranty and bypass smog requirements!) There is a red and a white limiter cap on the carburetor adjustment screws. Red= High speed / White = Low speed. Remove limiter caps. Turn both jets a 1/2 turn counter clockwise, Start, then fine tune. Use the low speed and idle screws to smooth out low to idle speed and the hi speed jet to tune the full throttle.

If this blower is left with gas for any length of time.. check the fuel lines and primer button before messing with the limiters. The methanol in the gas is eating up the lines and primer which is letting excessive air into the sytem making it run rough.

Cut them off. I use a Dremel tool with a cutter used for plastic.

Adjust the carburator on a Poulan 365 Pro chainsaw?

A good starting point would be about 1 to 11/4 turns out from the screws turn all the way in. Take note of the turns required on each screw to turn in (clockwise) This does not apply to the idle adjustment screw.

I have a Poulan Pro string trimmer model PPB350. It was purchased in 2005, but hasn't been used more than 12 t0 15 times. It has always been hard to start, but once it was started it ran fine. I have...

The next thing I would change would be the in tank fuel filter. It can be pulled out with a hook on a wire. Most any lawn repair shop will have them.

Poulan chainsaw model #2550 Serial # 99246D100255-3 Carburator adjustment floods out will not start

Check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Check the carburetor lower chamber diaphragm for flexibility and no damage. Also check the needle valve tip that the diaphragm controls for any damage or wear. If still flooding, turn both needle jet screws CW to stops (lightly), the back each out CCW 1-1/2 turns. This is a basic setting which should allow the engine to start and run.
Start the engine and allow to warm up. Pull the throttle full on and adjust H needle CW till the engine starts to speed up, but still 4-stroking. Correct adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes unloaded, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L needle CW for better idle but allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine continues to run. Hope this helps!

My Poulan chainsaw is hard to start and will not re-start once it is warm. Any suggestions besides junk it.

Spend $ 40 for a tune up at a local chainsaw seller/mechanic. Most Stihl outlets are very good. It sounds like carburation needs adjustment, but they also do a good visual inspection. Mine get done about every 3 years worth of use. HTH

I have a Poulan 3500, with a 20" blade, how many turns on the two (High & Low)adjustment screws on the carburator?

hey, a good starting point is screw them all the way in and exactly one turn out should start the saw there... the rest is by ear you need a small engine mech to tune it.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHATEVER YOU DO IF THE SAW RUNS TO LEAN, IT WILL SEIZE!!!

Its best left to a professional
