I appreciate your input. Unfortunately, I can not find any information from this manufacturer. The model of my monitor is: DTV-29XF3 NetTV sold many of these monitors in the US and then disappeared. I am hoping next time someone with the same model that has the back off of theirs could jot down the number and post it or perhaps someone is lucky enough to have a service manual (although I think the manufacturer just supplied replacement PCB's before they disappeared)

If you can still read your serial number you can contact the manufacturer to get the details on this product? EVERY manufacture requires to keep this information on file for years past to current. I know since I've worked for a projector manufacturer. Otherwise, I also found this PDF diagram which might help you out with the number you need: http://www.e-daewoo.com/products/owners_manual/CN115N-010_7.pdf Good luck with your problems & let me know if that helps you out or not.

My compaq monitor just start blinking and now only haft past of the screen is visible. the rest just went black with on bright shining line on the middle of the screen

hi,
Your monitor have problem with vertical deflection section. Can caused by the faulty vertical driver IC and faulty electrolytic capacitor it the vertical section or dry soldering in the pins of the vertical driver IC. When vertical section fails horizontal lines come on the screen. For testing the same you have to open the monitor and remove the main board. you can easily find out the vertical ic. just follow the four wire running from the deflection yoke ( coil on the crt neck) of which two will go to the horizontal section (normally red and blue wire) and two will go to the vertical section ( Normally yellow and green wire). Follow the yellow and green wire which will be connected to one of the socket in the main board. Follow the circuit track in the main board which will lead you to the vertical deflection section. There you can see one ic is fitted on a aluminium heat sink.Take a close watch in soldering of its leads. Dry soldiering can happen in its leads because its a component which will got to a temperature about 75 degree above at its normal working condition. if found any dry-soldering or not just resolder all the pins of that ic. then check the monitor. If problem remains then you have to relapse the ic.While replacing the ic try to relapse all the capacitors in that section. It will prevent from any further damage to the new vertical ic. if you need any more assistance feel free to contact me through fixya

Hi, I have a Tedelex EC29187 Television it have only a horizontal line in the middle of the screen, I opened it and looked for physical damage around the vertical defflection IC, but it show nothing so...

Ur tv it is taken aparts wright now?Yes.Plug in ur tv to see the problems and take the hard end handle of the screw driver and taps around the vertical deflection ic for cold soldering joints, will require resoldering the ic,if the vertical hold flickers or bounced back to normal. No bounce back vertical hold check all the sorrouding capacitors transistors resistors for dead components parts to be replaced,if all the sorrouding parts are good, than that vertical deflection ic it self it is dead and require replacing.

There is a line down the center of the screen

whether the line-shaped vertical or horizontal? if it appears a horizontal line on your side, it signifies the vertical rays do not exit the screen or your TV vertical part is not working. damage can be caused by IC Vertical, or in the vertical deflection coil yoke.dan if a line that appears is from top to bottom that indicates the horizontal section is not working, usually there is a problem of the deflection yoke is not connected or defective.

No vertical deflection, just a line in the center. I don´t have the diagram. Tanks

Look up for faulty Elkos in the vertical Stage near the powersuply abd then find the Vertical IC with are fit near by the highvoltagetransitor

I have a three year old model pvc2542 tv/vcr combo the picture is just a line in the center of the screen

Bad vertical deflection circuit, unless you have a bad connection (bang on set to set it it fills out for a second) . you will need components replaced such as the IC, capacitors possibly a fuse from the power source to the vertical IC.
If its a bad connection soldering the IC pins is not to hard if you are OK with taking it apart yourself.

H line problem

I think you are describing 'no vertical deflection.' If all you have on the screen is a single horizontal line, the vertical deflection circuit (or IC) has died. Unless you have service documentation on hand, I can't give a part number to replace but this is typically not an expensive failure and if the set was OK before, it is worth having repaired.

Vertical line in center have replaced vertical output ic

If the line is vertical then the problem is no horizontal deflection. The vertical chip is probably fine.

Check connections around yoke (thats the connector with at least four wires that goes up to the coils around the neck of the tube)

Maybe that TV has two horizontal output transistors. One for deflection and one for high voltage? Check both of them. Look for bad solder joints!!!

Tv cuts off 10 seconds after switch on and destroying vertical output ic

If the main IC is not putting out a vertical drive signal then the vertical output will not do anything and therefore will not be damaged. What exactly do you mean by the set "literally eats deflection IC's"? What is the number on the vertical output IC? I will bet that your pump-up cap or pump-up diode is defective.
