Plug in RJ45 cable in telephone socket, pick up phone, dial number, put receiver to ear, listen and then speak through lower part of the handset.

Check the cord from the phone to the handset - wiggle both ends to see if you get more noise. Could be a bad connection or bad cord.

Call Coby Electronics and have them replace them, there is a 90 day warranty period.

My dimension 3100 is not detecting a modem

Sir,
Respectfully please first check if there is a modem in the desktop PC since the dimension 3100 is not pre-equipped with a modem. you have to attach an internal modem manually on one or more PCI slots on the mother board.
the process is given here....

Turn off the computer. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Disconnect the power cord, attached peripheral devices and any other cables.

2 Locate the cover release latch on top of the computer, near the back. Place the computer on its side, with the removable cover facing upwards. Slide the cover release latch back and lift the removable cover off of the computer. Set the removable cover aside.

Locate the PCI and PCI Express slots near the bottom of the system board. Select a slot that corresponds with your internal modem card. Open the card retention door on the back of the computer and remove the filler bracket for the card slot you will be using.

4 Place the internal modem card into the appropriate card slot and press it firmly into place. Close the card retention door. Replace the removable cover and return the computer to an upright position.

5 Connect one end of the telephone cord into the LINE port on your internal modem card; plug the remaining end into a telephone jack. If desired, connect a telephone to the internal modem card via the PHONE port.

6 Reconnect the power cord and all previously disconnected cables. Plug the power cord into an available electrical outlet. Turn on the computer. If any installation software came packaged with the internal modem card, run the program and follow the onscreen directions. Your internal modem is now ready for use.

I need to strip the last character from the barcode when scanned with a Symbol P370 scanner. Is there a procedure for that?

If the barcode is a UPC-A or UPC-E you would scan the Do Not Transmit UPC-A or UPC-E Check Digit barcode from the P370 Product Reference Guide.

If the barcode is something other than a UPC-A or UPC-E the last character can be stripped using Advanced Data Formatting which would require the use of 123Scan. You can download 123Scan from support.symbol.com.

The P370 is NOT supported by the newer 123Scan2.

I don't know how to recharge the battery. It's an MP3.

Your product should have come with a USB cord that connects to a computer. Just plug the usb cord into the product and into the computer and it should start charging automatically. The directions for charging the product is listed in the product manual that came with the product. Refer to those directions.

No dial tone

MAKE SURE YOUR POWER CORD IS PLUGGED INTO A GOOD OUTLIT FIRST. CHECK YOUR HANDSET BATTERIES AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE GOOD. MAKE SURE YOUR TELEPHONE LINE CORD IS ALSO PLUGGED INTO A GOOD TELEPHONE JACK. IF THE BASE UNIT IS BAD NEITHER HANDSETS WILL WORK. WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS READ THE ENCLOSED DIRECTIONS AGAIN TO SEE IF YOU POSSIABLY MISSED SOMETHING.

Universal remote

Hi There, Unfortunately, Coby products do not have a universal code. Therefore, you wont be able to use a univercal remote control. However, the company will be to supply you with a replacement remote control. Coby " What is the code to program my Universal remote with my Coby DVD player? There is no code to program our DVD players with your Universal remote, you need to use the remote that came with the player.
