Some of the older cd players, car or otherwise, just aren't capable of recognizing CD-RW's. The player in my 10 year old Ford Mondeo doesn't, but the updated model player in the newer Mondeo does play CD-RW's.
Try cleaning the lens with a cd/dvd lens cleaner disc. Another thing of note....some cd players simply will not recognize homemade cds, or dics that are not audio discs, or if they were made on a computer.
hi you could try cleaning the laser lense with dust free cloth but soft one if this dont work try cleaning your cd you can run it under cold water tap and then dry with soft cloth make sure their is no scratches on disk surface if this still dont solve problem then you find the laser itself needs replacing. But the problem with this is replacing the laser and getting it calibrated will cost more than a new stereo thats why knowbody repairs these kind of problems let me know if you need further assistance
i would say for some reason your dvd player is not compatible from now on with that brand of blank dvd!
get the firmware update from the brand website all you do is download the file burnit on a cd and put it in the dvd player should fix most and eventual problems
Press case lid where it attaches to player. If this makes unit react you have a defective lid switch. You can probably put some weight over it to hold lid down and it will operate. Otherwise switch must be repaired
The laser is damaged or dirty. Try gently swabbing the lens with rubbing alcohol and drying with canned air. If this fails the laser is damaged and unrepairable.
