My Maytag dishwasher Quiet series 100 gets no water
My Maytag dishwasher quiet series 100 worked well for several years. Now it is not getting any water. A plumber was here to fix a leak and he replaced the water hose going into the dishwasher. That did fix the leak. But ironically the dishwasher no longer gets any water inside of it. I called the plumber back and he pulled out the dishwasher and showed me that the water line was fine. Water is running through it. It is a dishwasher problem. What can I do? Thanks Mike B

Hello jscott, It is typical nowdays for most dishwashers not to drain all water out of the bottom tub (Even where you cant see) due to siphon design and energy efficiency. Try using about a liter of vinegar and throw it on the bottom tub of the dishwasher. Let it run through a full cycle and see how that works. Has worked for me
We also have a Quiet series 100 and had the same problem, the dishes always came out dingy or with food all over them. My washer is about 5 years old and worked well for about 4 of them but the last year has been doing a poorer and poorer job washing the dishes. I finally broke down and removed the racks and all of the plastic parts from the inside of the washer. Doing this revealed that the groves in the under side of most of the plastic parts was clogged with food and debris. After a good scrubbing with water and a brush then reassembly it worked like a new washer again, cleaning the dishes very well and the best part is it saved us about $700.00 for another washer.
A water softner will not make the dishes any cleaner, it just makes it so they don't have water spots on them. If the dishes are dirty, it is most likely that the nozzles (holes) in arms may be plugged. Also check to make sure you are getting plenty of water to dishwasher. Make sure all water valves are full turned open.
If the control panel does not work all the time, it is very likely you have either a shorted wire, or a fualty main board which is very common in newer machines.
