Igniters pop about every 10-15 min

When the stove is off the ignitors will pop once every 10-15 min. This stove is brand new, I just hooked it up.

It appear that Bosch stoves are sensitive to the orientation of the hot and neutral. Mine was reversed at the outlet. I changed it to be correct and it fixed the problem

Gas oven will not light or open valve, Brand new ignitor

The igniter will not glow unless the gas valve is operational. The gas valve will not open unless there is power to supply the igniter. Igniters have a low resitance (20-100ohm). So, you can test it. Normally there is no power going to the ingniter.

You may have a defective gas valve (usually the safety circuit). The valves are not repairable (it would be dangerous to attempt it, and there are no parts available). So, you must replace the entire unit.

The thermostat may be shorted. If that's the case, the valve thinks the oven has reached temperature, so it doesn't need more heat, so the igniter won't glow, so the gas won't flow.

All igniters stopped working whirlpool 465

Hello,
I am almost fur sure that the problem will disappear by itself.
The ignitor is a high voltage "transformer". Even with a little moisture, the way to ground for the highvoltage electricity will go via the humidity in stead of the ignition candles.
After a while all will be dry again and all will work nice again.
If not, then there is some trouble with the ignitor or the wire to the ignitor.
I hope this helps, Dik

I how do I replace the ignitor? I had a friend find the problem and now I need to install the ignitor and reassemble the dryer.

Hi

There are two common styles of igniters, glow igniters and spark igniters. The igniter ignites the gas either by heating up and glowing, or by sparking. If the igniter fails, the dryer will not heat.

Please check this links to get the instruction for the replacement and the installation though you did not mention which is the brand of the dryer.

Electronic igniters won't shut off.

Boy, I had a Thermador that used to drive me bats.
The best solution was to clean around the ignitor pin and make sure the orifices closest to the ignitor are not blocked... It made a big difference.
I used a small fine metal bristle brush.. did the trick.

Frigidaire Stove clock resets to 12:00 when igniters turned on

local contractor came back. Said 6 other people have reported the problem according to Frigidaire.  Wasn't home so I don't know exactly what they did but they claimed to have moved some wires around.  So far no problems.  Electrical engineering friend said that they likely swapped some ground connections around so that when the ignitor draws current it doesn't drop the voltage of the whole system.  Not sure if a homeowner could troubleshoot and solve this one without directions from manufacturer.

Stove igniters stay on

Hello edmontonDad,
Welcome

You said, Stove igniters stay on.

The igniter goes off only when the cap is removed.

This is happening with two burners at the same time.

This sounds like a valve control problem!
Do not leave this go.
This can be dangerous!
Seek service right away.
SORRY that it has to be hands on service!

Thank you for using our advice.

Ignitors keep firing by themselves after my aunt cleaned them 24 hours ago After she did the major cleaning of the stove I used the oven and it worked fine. I lit a burner (Probably front?) and the left...

Apparently there was a water spill around the burner control knob and in the burner itself; We ran the burner to create heat and then turned it off and let the water dry out and evaporate from the burner and igniter area.

Stove top [gas] JENNAIR

Try carefully cleaning around the ignitors. Also clean hole in burners. Clean the holes closest to ignitors. This can be caused by a crack in ignitor, this requires replacement.

You have water left over from cleaning and it is shorting out the igniters at the knobs, not the burners. I guess the solution is to wait until it dries out unless you can open the top and maybe use a hair dryer.
