LIke a recent post, my drawer is bad. It broke today and we found the magnet on the floor. I figure it trips a reed switch, but I don't know where the reed switch is.. So, where does the magnet go. Was it originally attached to the drawer, if so, where? If I know that, hopefully I can figure out where to put the magnet so I can some laundry done in the meantime. Thanks for your help!
Ok, I am a little dense so I am posting a picture for others who have the same problem. Hope this helps. www.medlong.com

ddo frigidaire magnet frontloader
This post saved me from buying a new washer...I had a technician come in...explained that we just moved in and while moving the washer a magnet fell out the dispenser drawer...he told me it wasn't important and quoted me $400 for installing a new circuit board...we decided to buy a new machine...then i came across this post!!!! Thanks Sarge912!!!
You are awesome!!! Thank you!!!
I wonder how strong the magnets are. I bought some generic ones from Home Depot for 2 bucks and put one in the spot shown in the pic, but it wasn't strong enough. Same problem with 2 and 3 magnets together in that spot. So what did I do? I duct taped one to the side of the opening and voila. Working again!
This truely does work. Had the technician here too and he hadn't heard of it either but I found the magnet under the washer. We glued it in and off it went. Unreal. Thanks!!

The magnet is rectangular and about 1". If you sit the front of the dispenser drawer that you took apart down upright look on the right top ridge about midways. Just below there is a slot with a snapping clamp attached. It is the same size as the magnet. Good luck! It took me about 1hour to find the magnet it had somehow gotten under my washing machine.

There is a magnet located inside the dispensor door,. when closed the magnets align the right side of door and the connectting left side of console(facade), after removing the dispensor there is a channelalonge the side with a slight tab to lock magnet in place.

Hello geraldinerid - Typically DDO indicates that the washer has detected a problem with the dispenser drawer. Either the drawer is open and will not close properly or a further diagnosis is recommended to have a professional check the reed switch.

Let me clarify, it is the soap drawer/dispenser that I'm referring to in my comment above.
I found a diagram on a parts website. Looks like it should some how go along the right side of the drawer, just behind the "ridge" where the cup section section starts (by the handle). Well, if you put the magnet anywhere along there, the drawer doesn't close. So, I don't think that is it!
Does Frigidaire know where that magnet goes?
we are a used appliance store and I just found the same issue. We have this same machine in the back that starts and stops like every 10 seconds and today we found a magnet stuck on the front of the machine. We have looked at several diagrams and still can't get the magnet back in place. I can't seem to find out anywhere!!!! If anyone knows how to get this magnet back in place please help. Thanks!!
Sarge912- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! I would never have found that clip without your diagram.
