Don't know where NZTech was or the post but you need to press the CLK# button on the cash register(third key from left on cash register keyboard at top menu, Receipt on/off then CLK# ) and sign in the clerk.

No need to program it. It is enabled by default. For a percentage discount, just type the percentage eg 10 then press %- button. For amount discount, type the dollar amount eg 2000 (no decimal) then press - button.

A HALO has been programmed by someone to stop larger amounts from being used. Does it happen on certain products or is it only occurring when you press a payment key?
Try this: Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale. Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button.
