The accelerometers are stuck. Hold the controller so you can smack it on the palm of your free hand. Smack on the palm of your hand with the same force and quickness as you would a fly swatter. This will free the accelorometer. The accelorometer gets locked up when you swing to hard. Also try changing your batteries.

You just need practice using it. It can be tricky. Sometimes if you swing too fast or slow, or hold the remote at the wrong angle, it won't percieve your motions properly.

The skill level won't change

Everytime you win a tennis match, your skill level will go up. The higher the skill/the strength of your wins will determine what skill level you face next. Bowling skill ranks are determined on how well you do in each game. Once you reach PRO, you get a sparkling ball. Keep trying at both Tennis and Bowling and you should see your skill rating start to rise. Good Luck!

Just added a new wii controller now I have 2. I activated but when I try to use it to play tennis against my husband only his remote works mine wont swing. The cursor is on the second one is red and lloks...

When you are on the screen where you select number of games, use the second WiiMote to click on the two characters on one of the sides of the screen. that will assign them to the player 2 controller. Hope this helps =)

Nintendo wii problems

Hold the Wii Remote with the button side down. Without using much force, firmly tap the button side of the remote against the palm of your other hand a few times. Doing this does not take a lot of force, so be sure not to tap the Wii Remote very hard. Check for proper response.

  • Check to make sure the Sensor Bar cord is inserted into the back of the Wii console and the Sensor Bar is centered above or below your TV screen.
  • Make sure you are using fresh batteries in the Wii Remote.
  • The Wii Remote Controller should be used between 3 to 10 feet from the TV.
  • Make sure no objects are blocking the signals between the Sensor Bar, the Wii console, and the Wii Remote.
  • Check for interference from infra-red light sources, such as candles, sunlight, fireplaces, and stoves.
  • Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically. Check for wireless devices such as cordless phones, wireless computer keyboards or mice, or other similar devices, and move or turn them off.
I hope this fixes it for you!

My wii remote

@ Slivic22
Some games does not use Sensor Bar pointing because they play with motion/accelerometer only. After you select the number of sets on Wii Sports Tennis, there is no Sensor Bar pointing except for Pause menu. That's because you Swing the remote like a racket.

My curser (Pointer)flickers

The battery could be dying, but since it works fine during the game, I am not sure.

It could be infrared interference from sunlight or other source.

Also different games seem to have different ways of handling input from the Wii remote.
