My son has forgotten the password for the windows liveID account

This account is associated with his xbox 360 login, and we can't change it because you need to know the password. The password reset function in windows live ID is useless, and I can't get to speak to anybody about it.

The 360 and xbox.com uses your Live ID as your login. Instructions for changing your Live ID password can be found here.

I forgot my xbox password

If you can't sign in to an Xbox Live profile on your console, here are other ways to find your Microsoft account OR recover your password.
  • Go to login.live.com and try signing in with what you think is your Microsoft account (email address and password). If you can sign in, the email address and password you entered are valid. Next, go to Xbox.com and try signing in with this same information. If you're prompted to create an Xbox profile, the Microsoft account you entered is not currently associated with an Xbox Live account. Otherwise, you will sign in and see your gamertag in the upper-right corner of the screen. This email is associated with an Xbox Live account.
  • Check your email accounts for messages about your Xbox Live membership (search for messages about "Xbox Live" or "Microsoft billing"). This may help you determine which email address is associated with your Xbox Live membership.
  • If you have forgotten your password, when attempt to login, click the "Can't access your account?" link below the credential boxes and then select "I forgot my password." You'll then be brought through a step-by-step process to recover your account password.

Forgot my password for my xbox account

Windows live accounts like hotmail etc, all have the same account passwords. So the X-box is the same as those. If you have forgotten your password to x-box live go to the x-box live site and submit a forgot password entry.

How can fix the corrupted profile in xbox 360?

You will need to recover your Gamertag.
                        To recover a gamertag
To recover your gamertag, you need the associated Windows Live ID and password for your Xbox LIVE account.
                      1. If you're signed into Xbox LIVE with another gamertag, press the Guide button, and then press X on your controller to sign out.
                      2. Press the Guide button again, and select Recover Gamertag.
                      3. Select Recover Gamertag again.
                      4. Enter your Windows Live ID and password for the gamer profile that you want to recover.
                      5. Follow the on-screen directions.
                      Notes
                      • You can enter information using a USB keyboard, the Xbox 360 Chatpad, or your Xbox 360 controller and the on-screen keyboard.
                      • For Xbox LIVE child accounts, the associated Xbox LIVE adult account credentials are required to complete the recover gamertag procedure.

Password on famliy setting for xbox live preowed console

                    From the XBox website:

                    Managing Xbox LIVE Activity
Xbox LIVE Controls come into play only when you take Xbox 360 online, and they're linked to a child's profile and gamertag. When an Xbox LIVE account is created, the service asks for the member’s age to determine whether to apply Family Settings to that account.
Parents are also required to create or use an existing Windows Live ID. The Windows Live ID is associated with the child’s Xbox LIVE account and protects the settings from being changed later by the child. To change a child’s settings, first select the child’s account name and connect to Xbox LIVE. Once signed in, enter your Windows Live ID password to unlock the settings.
To see these controls, go to My Xbox, open System Settings, then selectFamily Settings, Xbox LIVE Controls.
