first of all let's start from the complete facts, does your 2wire router have built in wireless or no? how you did the the cable connections between tht routers?.

• Do you have a modem in addition to your router or just a router?
• You will not see any icons on your desktop unless, you used the installation cd on your pc.
• If people pc is a dial up account, which I suspect it is, then it has nothing to do with your issue.?

If this is router is gifted to you by a friend of yours who is from UK, Please check if this is locked. Most of the times these would be locked by the ISP. This is a router provide by tiscali UK. Please select the dialing number to 0,38 this is the dialing code for india.
If you use this should work and use 192.168.1.1 as default DNS.

for Any Cartridge call on these Numbers and let them know your Printer model number.

HP Dial-a-Cartridge India: customers in this location please dial 1800 425 4999 or 3030 4499.

Go to Network Sharing Center. Select Undefined Network click on customize click on IP4 enabled IP6 Enabled then go to advanced setup type IP address 192.168.1.1 on all fields. restart computer completely unplug and connect power supply again to router. that's it. If it fails go to http://192.168.1.1 type username admin password admin then on sidebar click on advanced setup click on WAN then select first row from top.. select next then click on Bridge Tnen Next Seav and Save/Reboot. Close Browser. wait for 2 mins . then dial PPPoE manually from Network Sharing Center.

It may be a blocked port on the router that is stopping the phone connection.

Try logging in to the router's control panel and turn on the DMZ to open all ports for testing.

If you can make calls after turning on the DMZ then you will need to get the correct port from your phone company to open on the router.

Don't forget to turn the DMZ back off when your done.
