I read this is os likely blown fuse. Could you walk me through the process of replacing the fuse? I am relatively good with electronics, but don't have a service manual or parts list. Thanks John
With the back off ,right under the on/off button you will see a black surface mount fuse labeled 2.3 take a fine wire and jump the two side legs out and it will light up. A safer way is to ohm out the thing for continuity. You always take a chance of taking out something downstream that the fuse was originally protecting. You can get an olympus 2.0 surface mount fuse if you google it. I have in the past just piggybacked parts that lost continuity, providing you have enough extra room. Helps from destroying by dissassembling.

Have the same problem. Tried 2 batteries already. I have contacted Canon and will post what they tell me
does anyone have pics of printed circuit boards to locate fuse?
I downloaded pictures to my computer last week. Recharged my battery for my upcoming vacation. As we pulled into Disney World I pressed the on button only to find it won't turn on. Battery is fully charged, tried another battery, cleaning the contacts. Still no resonse.
