SOURCE: Samsung GH19LS LCD Monitor wont display computer signals

You should have received two cables with the monitor. One is for VGA and plugs into you video card or computer board . The second one is for DVI digidal video and if you have that cable it plugs into the square connector. Then if you look into your monitor manual or quick setup sheet it will tell you how to connect and set the monitor to either VGA or Digital. I'm sure that is what has to be set. Don't hook up both cables to the monitor and computer. Only use the one. Digital gives you a better picture if your computer has that function. Hope this is helpful. Bud

SOURCE: My Hanns-G HC194D LCD Monitor Takes Forever to come on

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

My 2400 monitor start's up and work's for 10min. then flash's E14, i have cleaned everything possible and it just does the same thing, over again-E14, what might the problem be?

Sounds like the monitor or video card is going bad. I would try the monitor on another computer and see if it does the same thing. If it does you know the monitor has an issue. If it does not show the E14 then you know the problem is with the Video Card in the computer. To verify that it is the video card, just plug in another monitor and see if it does the same thing with the E14.

When fisrt turning computer on monitor shuts down ,have to keep turning it off and on until it finally stays on

Hi,
Check the cable connections [VGA & power] and ensure they are properly connected.
Try switching the power cables with the PC and see how the monitor fairs. If it properly operates with the PC cable, then replace its cable. If there's no change, take the monitor to a repair shop and have it fixed.

Hope this helps.Thanks!

Sounds like bad capacitors in the power module. Open it up and inspect the circuit boards for inflated or leaked capacitors. Replace with same parameters if any.

Hi I have a Gateway FHD2400 LCD monitor. Everything work fine but all buttons (inlude power and all select buttons) doesn't work.

If the control panel for the monitor does not respond there is no way to replace this. The monitor would have to be replaced if you desire that functionality.
However if the monitor turns on (without the need of the power button) and you do not need to adjust any of the settings then I would use the monitor until it could no longer serve its purpose.
Check the warranty status of the monitor and if it is under warranty you could get a replacement with a properly functioning control panel.

Hi Cat, You can try removing the data cable of your monitor, the one connecting to the back of the tower/computer. If there are no issues on the monitor, normally you will be getting the power self test which is indicated by three vertical colors on the screen (Red, BLue, Green). If you dont see the power self test, it may be a problem with the monitor. YOu may want to try using a different monitor to isolate issue if available

Hp w1907 Monitor problems

Sorry to her about your Monitor problems.
In the feature it would help to know what kind of monitor, the brand and model.
If this is a option, turn the monitor on, when you get image on the screen, press the menu key and scroll around until you find factory setting.
Restore to factory setting may bring the unit back and out of sleep status.
Try it, it may work..!!!

Delay in Monitor display once the system goes in sleep mode

Instead of sleep mode, tyr hibernate. It is generally faster except the whole computer shuts down. When you power back up, you're exactly where you were. Mine takes about 30 seconds.
