I had set up a gmail address a few months ago. Then I changed my browser from Firefox to Google chrome, which required a gmail account. When I entered my gmail account it said it was already being used, so I set up another gmail account with a new user name and password. Now, I can't access my original gmail account. Help

try a different browser like firefox or google chrome. normally when one browser does not work another might. to get a installed copy of firefox or google chrome goto www.ninite.com and select firefox or google chrome or both and then at the bottom click install. then try to login on either firefox or google chrome into the gmail.com. good luck..

Gmail Is Up or Down

I believe you're already logged into your Google Account in Google Chrome which keeps your logged-in status. Google will use your login credentials for Google Chrome to allow you to access your Gmail without requiring you to login again. To force a login each time, you may wish to logout of your Google Account from Google Chrome.

Open up an internet browser (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Chrome), whatever is installed on your PC. Click on this link mail google com . or type in the address https://mail.google.com

It should take you to the Gmail sign-in page in your browser. Bookmark this page for future use.

Second when chrome browser first opens it will ask to make the default browser and ask you to create a gmail account.

if you re pen internet explorer it will ask you to make it the default again, browser to select no and check to box to never asks again.

Once a gmail account is created, and Chrome is logged into your gmail account, you'll be all set. All the google apps are auto synced to your chrome.

The mail purpose for syncing chrome to your gmail account, is for all shortcuts, bookmarks and home page info you set on your chrome is backup on your gmail account. this way if you log into chrome anywhere, your defaults will follow you. the same will be for chrome on mobile devices, phones and tablets.

Try a different browser other than Google Chrome to see if the problem lies with Gmail.

The Gmail servers may be experiencing difficulties for a wide number of users or just specifically your account.

Sometimes troubleshooting the browser or firewall software will not correct the issue.

If the problem still persists on a different browser or computer system, then wait a while before attempting to access Gmail again.

The loading issue may be resolved by then.

You might need to remove you saved password from the Firefox.

To do so -> please go to firefox '"Options" -> Security -> Saved Password -> Select the account and click on "Remove".

The Gmail themes tab is missing from the Settings because you are using the older Gmail version. To use themes on your account, you need to change to the standard version or the more advanced Gmail version. And this is how you do it.
Log in to your Gmail account. Once you get to the inbox, check for the Newer version link near the top right. You cannot miss it - it's to the right of the Settings link. By the way, changing the Gmail version will not harm or delete your email messages or information, so go ahead and click on the link.
When the newer Gmail version loads, you would see some small cosmetic changes in colors and layout. Anyway, to get Gmail themes for your account, hit the Settings link and go to the Themes tab. I suppose you can now take it from here.
You will not be able to use Gmail themes if you are working from an old web browser. This feature is compatible only Internet Explorer 7.0+, Firefox 2.0+, Safari 3.0+ and of course Google`s chrome . If you are still on Internet Explorer version 6 (and many are), you need to upgrade to the next version to get Gmail themes for your email account or better still download and install chrome or Firefox.
