DEar All,
I cannot get the printer to scan to PC, or to PDF or to email from the operation panel on the printer itself. It will however copy direct from scan to print using Colour or Black buttons.
The scanner works to any applicable software application on the PC.I have gone through the excercise of completely removing all the Drivers and software that came with the printer & re-installed. Even changed the USB port but no improvement. Getting a bit frustrating now.
Any help is appreciated,
regards
Donald A
I had the same problem. Just called Canon, reinstalled the MP Navigator software and its up and running again. You can download it from www.canontechsupport.com
I had to change from USB 2.0 to USB 1.0 in my CMOS to get it to work. The printer would get the request from the printer, pull in paper, then fail. Give it a shot.

Hello! If you are using a Windows XP operating system, I do suggest that you use the Scan Option on the Control Panel.
How? Click on Start Click on set Setting, then Select Control Panel Double click the Scanners and Cameras icon Double click your printer's icon Then follow the instruction that will be displayed in your monitor. At the end, this will save your scanned documents in jpeg files.
It sounds like an issue with your "printer settings" on your computer. Go to control panel, printers and faxes, right click, then printing preferences, this should take you where you want to go.
If you are using the scan button on the control panel of the printer, It will save as pdf file on the computer where the printer is hooked up.
It is better to use the scan option on the control panel of your operating system. For windows operating system, click START..select Control Panel...double click "Scanners and Cameras" icon.. double click your printer.... then follow instruction to save your docs as JPEG type.
I hope that will help you. please rate this answer. thanks
