Password are case sensitive, did you use a mix of uppercase and lowercase, or was it all lowercase or all uppercase?

Password protection is difficult defeat.

the easiest solution is to RESTORE the unit,
following the ASUS instructions, in the manual
that came with your unit.

important note: this does NOT affect any work
you have on your SD Cards or USB flash drives.
these will still work in another computer, if needed.

RESTORE from the DVD or by holding down the F9
key as the unit boots-up (see manual).

after the restore is finished, be sure to go the
SETTINGS tab, select PERSONALIZATION icon.
then check the box - "log me in automatically"

I lost my log in password

Hello,
If you forget your Windows password or if your password expires, you must reset your password before you can log on to your computer. This article contains two methods that you can try to reset your password so that you can log on to your computer2_bing.gif again. These steps only work if you have previously created a password reset disk for the computer, or if you can log on as an administrator to assign a new password to your account.

If you do not have a reset disk or cannot log on as an administrator, unfortunately, you may have to reinstall Windows XP and all other programs that were installed on the computer before you can use the computer again. This is for security. Without these safeguards, anyone could reset a password to anyone else's computer and gain access to private information.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.

I set a password for logging in but it wont let me log on now. I put the password in then it just hangs. How can I change it back?

you cant take the password off but you can log yourself in automatically so it doesnt ask for your password. basically just go on settings and then personalization and then log me in automatically. and that should solve the problem

Password

Restart the computer, and keep pressing the F8 key, then choose to load into Safe mode. Once in safe mode, it should give you the choice to log in as the administrator account, which hopefully doesn't have a password, and then once logged in there you can reset any of the other profiles passwords.

*If you have the log in screen where you enter in your account instead of choose the icon, just type in administrator into the user name field and leave the password field empty.
