Replacing drum support rollers on a Asko T760

broken belt , defective timer, defective board if electronic, defective push button start switch, defective cintrifugal switch in the motor itsself, defective motor, foreign object blocking fan motor in housing, stuck drum rollers.

Sears lists 2 model Asko dryers The T700 and T701 Both use the same rollers. It's possible the 700 series all use the same rollers

I believe asko says this is normal at start up and should stop after the drum has been spinning for a bit.

I think you have a broken belt, or the belt slipped off of the pulleys.
Try this solution, it works on numerous dryers...

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Sounds like your problem may be a broken belt, or the belt may have slipped off of the motor pulley, or idler arm pulley or a faulty motor.
If you have to check/replace/repair your drum motor,drum seals,belt,rollers, etc.
If replacing drum seals be sure to use a good grade of weather proof cement to hold the seal/s in place, some seals are furnished with the cement to glue it in place.
Note: This method works for most front loading machines.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch or other electrical connections.
Remove the lint filter and the screws that hold the filter housing.
Then remove the top of the dryer.
Note: Some of the tops tilt backwards and do not have to be removed completly.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
Note:The way the belt goes back on is, as the belt comes off the drum has to be doubled (pushed together to form a loop) and goes under the idler pulley then to the motor.
While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.

I have replaced the drive belt and rollers, to replace front support rollers you need to take drum out to gain access to them. the part that takes the longest is removing rear panel, the 4 screws around the drum bearing and the screws that hold heating element to the rear panel. Then you can rotate rear panel out of the way, having a small stool or chair for it to sit on makes it a whole lot easier. With this out of the way you can remove drive bely from drum and lift it out of the way. The rubber rollers sre held in by bolts with nylon nuts on the front, be careful when taking out the bolts that you don't knock the nut out of its holder, if this happens you will need to remove the screws around the inner door opening to be able to put the left side one back in. I had the dryer laying on it door to remove the drum an belt, then placed it in the normal position to change the rollers.

the three screws you removed from the drum hold the piece to the drum, if you open the top you will need help to put this piece back on. one person will have to hold the piece that fell while the other puts the screws back in.

you probaly have problems with rollers in front of the drum.

Sounds like a bad roller. You'll have to remove the drum to get at them. Even a free one may make noise at speed. Use high temp grease. Also check roundness. And don't forget the belt tensioner roller, just don't get any grease where the belt touches.

remove rear panel but not the screws holding the element in,then remove the plasitic fan housing bottom right then the fan 10mm nut,then the belt the drum will then lift out.the rollers are then easy to replace

Seems like you need new drum rollers. If one(or both) is bad, the drum will rub in the plastic.
