Hello, This TV was working great and then last week when I turned it on it just stays in ( Stand By ) mode. Is this fixable.

Same model. The standby light blinks constantly. I dont get any picture. I have seen other posts where the number of blinks are supposed to indicate a specific problem. What about continuous blinking?

Yes, the set is fixable. This is very common on the Sony sets, but the set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with Sony sets.

Sony TV stuck in stand by mode

Yes. The 9 blinks indiate a problem in the power supply area. I need to look up your specific model later today to get you the specific parts. If you are comfortable with soldering and working inside the set, you should be able to repair this yourself.

Stay tuned...

Sony 32" trinitron kv=32fs16 tv problem.

I had the same problem 3 years ago. I called in a Sony tech and he said this was a common problem with this model. He replaced several resistors and resoldered several "Coaled Solder" connections. The repair ran $187 but the set has run great ever since!

Sony KV-32FV1

After so many years of use is possible that the unit developed loose conections in the horizontal driver transformer and some other places,I will suggest not to use it like that because it will blow up and the repair will be more expensive, call a qualified tech and get an estimate.Good luck
