Have seen it many times before especially on Whirlpool fridges before. It is not detrimental to the running of the fridge but has the tendency to warp the door fridge seals. In my opinion, when the fridge was piped up, instead of running the high side (hot pipe from the compressor), through the radiator first and then to the fridge body, they have done it in the opposite way. As a result, All the heat from the compressor is going firstly into the fridge frame to eventually exiting and then going to the radiator.(Thats why it is so hot between the doors). To rectify this, you need a technician to swap the pipes over at the back as already discussed, then regass..

can you hear a humming sound coming from the back of the refrigerator, if so that means your compressor is running, if you are hearing a buzz or clicking sound your compressor is trying to start, you may need a compressor. Some whirlpools have a 5 year sealed system warranty that would cover the repair.

two options...one drain hole blocked in freezer,clean with copper wire/bleach to clear gunge.
two outside temp too cold i.e. unit in garage/outhouse( too cold for compressor )
also check seal to doors.air leaks...

Clean out the coils at the very bottom of the refrigerator from all of that lint/dust buildup it makes your system inefficient

change the thermostat first and see if still not working then jou can get a another motor

it is low on refrigerant and has a sealed system leak without the proper leak detection equiptment and charging tools best left to the local ref tech

I had a whirlpool fridge that did the exact same thing. Sometimes it was loud enough to wake me up at night! It is the compressor shutting down. I had it for several years untill I purchased a larger one, and then gave it to a girlfriend at least a year ago. Its still working good today. So if you can tollerate it, just live with it. Otherwise change the compressor.
