I am trying to play what i recorded on my voice recorder on RCA digital Voice Manager and it says Framesize is negative value.. what is going on?
Lindfors127,
I used this solution and it works. Unfortunately it, of course, deleted a recording I wanted to save.
Too bad RCA doesn't include those instructions with the notation to do so PRIOR to making a recording you want to keep.
Sent a note to customer "service" but seriously doubt I will hear back or that they will do anything.
Thanks.
PS - tried to use the rating link here to no avail

I let my rechargeable batteries run down before I closed a file. When I later transfered my file to the computer to the RCA Digital Manager program, I could do nothing and got the "Code Warning" message.
I left my DVR plugged into the USB cable and formatted my "removable drive G" which was my DVR. After that when I tried to turn on my DVR I got a blinking message "format." In desperation I pushed in the button for deleting a file from my DVR steadily for about five seconds. Voila! Everything came back to normal. I was able to turn my files into exe. files once again.

same
same problem, "framesize is negative value", will not play, convert, or be saved to computer.
I have the same problema
I got the same message. My recording quality was on HQ, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. When I tried to create a wave file, it said "encoding," but the progress bar never moved past 0%. Frustrating. I just might be returning mine.... :(
Same problem with the RCA RP5022. I tried upgrading the DVM (digital voice manager) software to version 3.24 but it didn't help. When you want to play a recording, every once in a while it says "Warning Decoding: Framesize a negative value." with a box to click OK. It will allow me to make it into an .exe file (which is of no use to me), but when I try to make it into a .wav file, it starts and then freezes until I close the program.
I got the same problem several times.
RCA RP5022. I am unable to play or save the file into my computer. It allows me to play only thru my Digital voice recorder only. It displays a message in a box "Negative Framsize". I need to transfer the file and play it to my computer.
I installed a version 3.24 and it didn't work.
Can you help me/advice me?
Thanks
Same here. I have RCA RP5022 and when i try to play this one file it says warning decoding framsize is negative value. It won't let me play or anything. What does this mean?
