Are you both sure that under the World Clock icon that the current date/time is set to the right year?
Sometimes the dates get set back incorrectly if the Palm dies.

How to create post dated voucher in tally

When we issue post dated cheques then we have to maintain the dates on which it is likely to be presented in bank. Regular post dated cheques can be easily trackedpost+dated.jpg e.g. cheques issued for some regular installments etc. But if the quantity of post dated cheques is large and the payment schedule is not regular then keeping track of all PDC becomes more important.

Tally can handle both PDC payments made by cheques and PDC cheques received by you. Tally has a facility to convert any voucher in post dated form. A post dated voucher is one which is going to be realized in future date. It would be reflected in books only on due date and not before this.

While entering the PDC cheque you have received just press 'Ctrl+T' in reciept voucher type and enter the voucher on that specific date.
post+dated+voucher.jpg
In same way what ever post dated cheques issued by you can be entered in payment voucher by putting the voucher in post dated mode by pressing 'Ctrl+T'.

Now comes the real problem, How to see the status of these cheques? How to see which cheques is going to be cleared and which cheque is coming for payment? To do this a particular period can be specified in
Display -> Exception Reports-> Post Dated Vouchers
Here you would see all the post dated vouchers. Select voucher type as receipt or payment by pressing 'F4' to see the status on a specified period. You can change the period by 'Alt+F2'.

You can also see the total bills out standing amount with our without post dated vouchers.
If we see
Display-> Exception Reports->Overdue Receivables
then normal screen would be like this

billsoutstandingpdc.jpg
post+dated+transactions.jpgBut by pressing F12 and putting Include post dated transactions to Yes you can see the net pending amount also.
See the figure below how PDC amount can be seen. A new extra column would be added to show the net PD Amount.
The same thing can be achieved for Bills payable in
Display-Exception Report->Overdue Payables

I have Calandar Creator 10 and have created a family calandar which I use from year to year that includes birthday events, holidays etc. and phases of the moon. This year, when I went from Dec. 2010 to...

Calendar Creator 10 has the four moon phases from Jan 1990 thru Dec 2010. To extend past 2010:
- File Open Collection ' Local Disk(c:)'Program Files'Calendar Creator' Template'Events'Phases of the Moon.bcc
-For each of the four events (First Quarter, Full Moon, Last Quarter, and New Moon) change the Repeat Until date past 12/31/2010 to 12/31 of the year you will add data for
-For each of the four events, click Advanced Repeat Rule you can selete the drop down under Exceptions / Pick exception and there you can see the dates by month and year from Jan 1990 thru Dec 2010 for the event. You need to extend this list. First obtain the moon phases from some web site like www.timeanddate.com/calendar. (note that this site calculates the mone phases base on New York time). The simply select each of the dates for the event you are modifying by clicking that date on the calendar in the upper right hand of the screen. Just advance the calendar thru the months and years you want to enter data for. You can check the list when finished by selection the ExceptionS Pick exception drop down box.
- Save your changes by clicking OK and Ok again. Make changes for all for events.
- Select File and Save Collection
- You need to replace the Phases of the moon events in your calendar by removing the old events and importing the new events. To remove the old Phases of the moon in your calendar, select Events'Categories highlight Phases of the moon and delete. Then add back the changed events by File'Import Events and browse for the Phases of the moon.bcc file you changed.
I hope this gets you what you need.

Losing data

Did your Palm happen to lose battery power?

You can check this by looking at the date/time under World Clock.

If the year is incorrect, it's likely you lost battery power.
If you sync again, it will ask you to choose a profile and select your current one.

Hope this helps!
