I have a gold motorola razr that began to act weird while I was in Texas. All of a sudden the phone began to beep as if I was adjusting the volume and it began to do that on its own. I could not operate any keypad functions for an hour or so. It began to work as it should, then started beeping and the volume began to adjust itself again. I checked for buttons that may have become stuck but no luck. I can only use the phone for about an hour before the volume began to adjust on its own and the keypad locks

your volume control switch has a problem tha was not related with your soft ware, that was damaged by presing hard your volume botton. you can change the change the switch under your volume botton or replace the whole flex at the back of LCD of your phone. of you are not famillar with relacing a flex, you better ask for assistance from the cellphone technicians near you. good lack
No my friend that does not sound weird the phone software is corrupted....you just need to have the phone firmware reflash to the original version.....that will correct the issues....or if you wish you can return the phone and have them replaced it.
try changing the battery.....if that does not help you may have to get the mobile service or flash from a mobile tech....but if the phone is 3days old, just take it back to the provider and have them give you a new one.
When you are on a call, press the up or down buttons on the "top" part of the phone, to the left side of the main screen. If you are on a call, these buttons adjust in call volume. Otherwise, they adjust call ringer volume.
my son's phone is about 7 months old too and today when i turned it on it would not go past verizon welcome screen, no matter what. i don't use this phone, but if your volume controller is on the keyboard it could be that the keypad is going bad, which appears to be common with the razr. if it is the keypad, you can pick up a keypad flex cable for about $12 on ebay, and it's a very easy fix, but if it's just 7 months old, i'd return it under warranty, that's what i'm going to do. Let me know what you find out. I just think it's really strange that our phone suffered no damage of any kind, it just quit.
