I have a 2 hopper bunn ultra 2, both sides are icing over on the outside

chances are the refrigerant solenoid valve for that side is bad. replace the coil

upper case means it is still trying to slush. lower case means it has reached designated slush thickness

the word "gourmet" next to the display is a button. hold it down for a few seconds and you'll get into the menu. keep pressing and releasing "gourmet" until you get to "factory reset" and select yes. after that, you'll have to reset all the other settings like the clock and the defrost timer.

first, make sure you are mixing the product properly. if it's mixed too rich (not enough water), the temp will keep dropping until it's thick enough, thus freezing the condensation on the outside. if that's ok, go into the menu (holding down the "gourmet" button) and put on a defrost cycle; off at a certain time, back on at another. should defrost for at least 8 hours

the brix level (syrup to water ratio) may be too low, which will cause it to ice too quickly and cause damage.

put the machine on a defrost cycle and make sure the mix is correct. to rich (not enough water) and the temp will drop until it gets to the right thickness, thus freezing the condensation on the bowls.

go into the menu (hold down the "gourmet" button) and select reset all. then check your mix to make sure it's the proper ratio. too lean will cause it to freeze too fast.
