Blue light on linx charger not working

It sounds like there may be a problem with the charging system on your Linx charger. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the charging cable: Make sure that the charging cable is properly plugged into the charger and the device being charged. Check for any visible damage or fraying on the cable. If the cable is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
  2. Check the charging port: Make sure that the charging port on the device being charged is clean and free of any debris. If the port is dirty or obstructed, it can prevent the device from charging properly.
  3. Check the battery: If the device being charged has a removable battery, make sure that the battery is properly installed and not damaged. If the battery is damaged or not properly installed, it can prevent the device from charging.
  4. Check the power source: Make sure that the power source, such as an outlet or power strip, is functioning properly and is providing an adequate power supply.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the charger or the device being charged. In this case, it may be necessary to have the charger or device repaired or serviced by a professional.

Should battery stay on charger after it is charged between use. This is for a Hoover Linx cordless vacuum

I leave mine on the charger until I use it mostly more than 8 hours after charged and in 12 months nothing has happened
that is why the charger is incorporated into the stand

When I put the battery on the charger the light on the charger stays on for little awhile the it starts to blink, but when I try to use the battery it is not charged. So I am not sure if I need a new

Hi there! It sounds like you have our Linx stick vacuum or hand vacuum model. Plug only the charger into an outlet, the blue light on the charger should flash once. If the light on the charger flashes once then the charger is fine. Try resetting the battery by following these quick steps below.

1. Remove the battery from charger or cleaner
2. Unplug the charger
3. Insert the battery into the vacuum and turn the unit on for 30 seconds (even if it has no power)
4. Remove the battery
5. Plug the charger into an outlet, make sure the light on charger blinks blue once.
6. Insert battery into charger

The light should be a solid blue, indicating the battery reset worked. If so, allow the battery to charge for 3-4 hours, completely deplete battery on your next use and re-charge. If the light on the charger is still blinking, your battery will need to be replaced. I have included a link where you may go to purchase a replacement battery if needed. Hope this helps!

Why doesn't my battery charge? Why doesn't the charger's light come on?

Hi Suzanne! Follow these steps to check that your charger and battery are working properly.

1. Unplug the charger for at least 30 seconds.
2. Plug the charger back in. The blue light on the charger should flash once.

If the blue light flashes once this is an indication that the charger is still functioning properly. If the blue light does not flash, the charger will need to be replaced. Follow this link to order a replacement charger. LiNX Battery Charger

3. Place the battery in the vacuum and turn it on for 30 seconds. (even if it does not turn on or powers off)
4. Turn the vacuum off.
5. Remove the battery and place it in the charger.

If the light on the charger is solid blue this is an indication that the battery has been reset. Allow 3-4 hours for the battery to fully charge. The blue light will start to blink slowly to indicate the battery is fully charged.

If the light on the charger is flashing blue or there is no light at all this can mean that your battery needs to be replaced. Follow the link to order a replacement battery. LiNX Lithium Ion Battery

Hope this helps!

Hoover linx

How old is your battery? and did you keep it on charge when it was not in use?
Most rechargeable batteries require a spindown, where as you completely discharge the battery before recharging it again.
I know you aren't wanting to hear this but in all probability that battery is spent and will need to be reconditioned at a battery place, however, it will cost almost as much as a new one it would be your call.
if you have a ohm/volt meter it might be possible to look at the charger and get a volt/amp reading and then test it see if it is putting out the proper voltage it could be putting out a trickle charge and it would take forever to charge it.
there is one other situation to look at and if the beater brush or motor is causing a resistance it will pull a battery down quick.
I do not own this vaccum so I can only guess as to the possibilities.
