The "SD" code is for suds, you are using too much detergent, you generally only need about three teaspoons of detergent, more for heavily soiled or larger loads, the HE detergent is a high efficiency detergent that is low sudsing, the wrong detergent can also affect the quality of the spin cycle.
No Problem, a f-51 code is a motor sensor problem the fix would include checking the sensor to be sure it is secure and if the guy that comes out knows what he's doing he will order a new control board. good luck

What does the Sd code mean?
This code indicates that excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the wash action and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This process is necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds.
Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
Use only HE High Efficiency detergent for BravosTM washers.
Is "Sd" displayed and the wash cycle dial is flashing? This indicates the washer was not able to clear all the excess suds from the washer. Re-select your desired cycle using cold water. Press Start/Pause. Do not add detergent. Is "Sd" displayed and the wash cycle dial is not flashing? If "Sd" is displayed and the wash cycle dial is not flashing, allow the machine to continue running, even if it appears that nothing is happening. When "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the wash action will pause to allow the bubbles in the suds to break, and the washer will add water for better rinsing. This rinsing process is necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds. Is the drain hose kinked or clogged? Make sure that the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Straighten the hose for adequate water flow. Remove any blockage from the drain hose, drainpipe or utility sink. Use the U-shaped drain hose form on the drain hose, and secure the drain hose. To remove the error display, press Power/Cancel or Pause/Cancel once.

Maybe, but after I runned the wash cycle only with liquid clorox. I completed two washings. Therefore, I thought if I wash a regualr load of clothes it would work. The when the cycle got to the Spin mode, the washer started flashing lights around the cycle selector and flashed F and 51 simutaneously. I called Maytag back and was told something was wrong with the motor and service guy was
scheduled to come Friday 4/10/ 09 to fix it. Thanks for your help.
